10000 Steps

10,000 steps… a fitter and healthier YOU!

This health promotion, physical activity challenge is aimed at all General Practice staff, Allied Health Practice staff, RACF staff, Alliance staff and families and other groups working within the primary health care sector.  How about your patients as well?  The primary aim of the project is to promote regular physical activity as a means of achieving a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The ‘Brisbane to Perth Challenge' aims to provide an opportunity to participate in a work-specific physical activity program (challenge). The primary goal of the Challenge is to:

  1. Increase individual’s physical activity awareness;
  2. Increase the overall physical activity levels among the workplace; and
  3. Create awareness of the coincidental health benefits that can occur in the activities of daily living, including work, and raise funds for charity.

The Challenge will provide an opportunity and a platform to take positive steps towards better health and help encourage your patients to do the same.
